Forum d’Ideias wishes all our customers and friends a successful 2012!

Tetra Pak International gathered 100 human resources’ for a conference that wanted to look into the future. Three special and different dinners were organized, with entertainment and activities. The gala dinner was in a Palace in historical Lisbon.

The 13th ESH-ICMLF international conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) took place in Estoril, near Lisbon. Forum d’Ideias was trusted with the services for the 3rd time and it was a real success.

Stemcor held their annual accounting meeting in Estoril, Cascais. Full-services were provided, as transfers, audiovisual equipment, offsite dinners and onsite coordination.

EIDQ Association held their meeting in Lisbon. For the last evening, a dinner was in the Lisbon castle, viewing the city with its magnificent sunset. Some courageous participants even walked up the hill!

Assured Information Systems Ltd chose Lisbon as their destination for this year’s meeting. The final evening was chosen for a casual dinner at the historical part of town – the Bairro Alto. The trip to the restaurant included a trip on the Santa Justa Elevator, built in the 1900s.

Ecolab joined 120 of their sales persons in Cascais this March. A special dinner in a wine cellar, right in the mountains of Sintra was a success on the second night. Before departure, the group went into Lisbon for a teambuilding activity that provided all an experience with go cars, segways, bicycles and mind games. This afternoon was followed by a meal in a very traditional Lisbon restaurant.

Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto was again honoured by the ACI-Airports Council International as the second best airport in Europe in 2010. We recall that the Porto Airport had already been awarded the third place in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and was considered the best European airport up to 5 million passengers in 2007. There are direct flights to Porto's International Airport from the major European capitals, Newark and Brazil.

Lisbon comes in 1st place among cities where, according to the interviewed congress participants of the Lisbon Tourism Observatory Survey 2010, the best congresses took place, the same ranking as in 2009 (17.9%).

Forum d’Ideias wishes all our customers and friends a successful 2011!

Forum d’Ideias would like to thank all those who took time to visit our stand at this year’s EIBTM edition. EIBTM took place in Barcelona, Spain, from 30th November to 2nd December 2010.

December 2010

The fourth European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ESCAIDE) took place in the Lisbon Congress Center in November 2010 Forum d’Ideias was assigned for on-site registration and local services.

November 2010

Took place in Cascais in October 2010. The social programme included a sightseeing tour by night to Lisbon in an electric tram. The gala dinner venue was indeed the highlight of the event due to the great food and exclusive performance by three female violinists.

October 2010

Over 600 participants from all over the world came to Albufeira to compete for a medal in their division. Forum d’Ideias was assigned to be their local secretariat for this sports event and together with the organizing committee had the objective to make this championship a huge success.

Forum d’Ideias was assigned to organize Google Engops Event. Full services were provided including transfers, accommodation, meeting rooms and social events.

EMSA team building day took place in the Arrábida National Park in June. The group was divided into two teams while some took a jeep safari through the mountains with a visit to the wine cellars, the other group had the exceptional opportunity to watch the dolphins in the Sado river, and all enjoyed lunch at the beach!

Organized by the Lisboa Convention Bureau in partnership with Forum d’Ideias, this Fam Trip was a great opportunity to ally both business and leisure. The participants got the chance to discover Lisbon through a unique experience… From a speed boat trip to a drive in Lisbon old quarters in Go Cars, ending with a superb dinner at typical Portuguese restaurant.

It is amazing how quickly time passes.
This year Forum d’Ideias is already celebrating its 10th year anniversary!
For every business organization, the first decade of existence is usually a period of great challenges. We could not have come this far without the persons who have helped us to get there as success is always a team effort!
First and foremost we like to thank our employees for their dedication.

Teamwork made the 35th European Congress of Cytology the best attended congress ever. A study from the Observatório of the Lisbon Tourist Office revealed Lisbon came in 1st place among cities the best congresses took place and 98% consider their return very likely.

The 11th ESH-ICMLF international conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) took place in the beautiful city of Bordeaux, France. Full services were again provided.

The 12th International TNF Conference, was held in San Lorenzo de El Escorial near Madrid, Spain, in April 2009. Despite initial concerns, the number of attendees exceeded expectations and was an appreciated learning experience.

The first ESH International Conference on Haematological Aspects of Autoimmune Diseases took place in Mandelieu in the south of France. The next edition will take place in Lisbon in May 2010.

TOLL 2008 - RECENT ADVANCES IN PATTERN RECOGNITION held in Cascais was a real success with 500 participants, where initially 350 were planned.

After a successful 2008 event Biorad decides to hold their annual event again in sunny Algarve. More than 600 delegates are expected to participate.

The first ESH International Conference on Myelodysplastic Syndromes took place in a beautiful and practical resort in the Algarve and due to its success a second edition is already planned for 2009.

For the first time an ESH conference on Multiple Myeloma was held in Portugal which gathered specialists in Cascais.

After the 2006 edition in Sintra, Algarve was the venue for the Talk Tetra 2008 Conference. Here is one of the comments received: “By the way, the Jeep Safari was great fun, easily the best “activity” so far, maybe it had something to do with the company we had in our jeep, but regardless it was very well planned and much appreciated”
